Characteristics and decreased VASI of vitiligo patients with NB-UVB phototherapy in Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Narrowband ultraviolet-B (NB-UVB) phototherapy is the mainstay of vitiligo therapy. The response can be evaluated using area scoring index (VASI) and repigmentation grade. However, few studies used VASI to evaluate there are no definitive data on reduction VASI. This retrospective descriptive study aimed determine characteristics decrease in patients with after 36 48 sessions NB-UVB phototherapy, conducted at Dr. Sardjito General Hospital, Yogyakarta, from December 2021-June 2022. most common predilection was face (71.43%) acral (61.90%). responses were minimally improved (decrease VASI<10%) (reduction 10-25%). mean 18% 22% sessions, respectively. 9.52% 6.67% experienced a >50% assessment vitiligo. cannot show slight slow-response patients.
